I'm going to a graduation party in a few weeks and i really wanted a new makeup look. I think i have found it. My hair is currently red , but not like hers. It is harder to do crazy makeup looks and not look like a clown for a stephen king book. I love the way the purple brings out her brown eyes ( also like mine )it is so classy yet eye catching. I have been wanting some short hair for a while but i needed to find the right style. I HAVE A LARGE HEAD....REALLY....LARGE. I had to find one that will frame my melon. I like this style alot. It is full at the crown which will slim a round face and bring out bone structure. I am scared of shaving the back. That i just can't do. Maybe i should get a wig first huh ? I mean , it is just hair and it will grow back eventually. O the choices of life.I need advice.

Mya was one of my favorite artist. SHE STILL IS ACTUALLY. she is very slept on. She can sing dance and even do a little acting. I felt we were like sisters since she also tap danced like i did.I heard she has been doing big things over in the UK. That's one thing i hate. We don't appreciate music over here. Artist go over to Japan and UK and they can really let their talent shine. We americans can't sit on one person for to long then it's on to the next one... so sad. it's a new dawn....

I'm loving the recent surge of love towards the black woman. I remember ( well i don't remember remember but i know) when women of color weren't on the covers of mainstream magazines let alone VOGUE! Like Chris Brown says LOOK AT ME NOW! i love that all shades and sizes are accepted. You can be the most confident person but constantly seeing a mold of beauty that is not you can wear on you. I'm just glad that little girls can feel a little better about themselves than i did growing up. I spent too many years hiding myself but now i'm like POW! LOL

LOL! I just had to post this. Isn't it funny how we look back at old pictures and are like WHY!!!!!!! i cant wait till i'm a mom and i show my kids old pictures of me. O how time flies.
Cherish every moment. I don't take enough pictures. I want to have a whole chest of pictures to show my kids. I want to pass down stories , good and bad . Always remember to relax and just enjoy life. Take risk like crazy eyebrows or going after the person you love. Good or bad you can look back and know you did it. Regret is a terrible feeling.

Word to the wise

Life is full of all kinds of crap ! We all know about the good but we seem to overlook the bad. People are going to have their opinions about you. At the same time you have to respect the minds of others. I don't like many things that people say or do . You have to be confident in yourself and be able to brush things off. I'm not going to lie it took me a while to learn this and i still struggle with it. I cry on a dime. I had a very sheltered childhood . I remember in 8th grade i was teased like no other. I was the new kid and i was public enemy number 1! I never experienced people not liking me. I had to learn to believe in me and know me. Fuck what haters say. I wont apologize for being blunt. That's just the way it is. Love yourself , fuck haters , change the world!

i love reality tv. one of my favorite shows is love and basketball. it's the one where it's like jim jones girlfriend and olivia. Let me tell you , this show is mess to the tenth power. Out of all the girls Mashonda ( the lovely lady above )is my favorite. I like the way she caries herself. I think Crissy is just too much. She seems fake like she is putting on a show for the camera. But hey , what can i say , if you were paying me i would act a fool too. Gotta love today's morals : ) lol

I'm excited becausethis is my first post from my phone. I'm not even using my hands . I'm using my hands free voice feature( so excuse any errors). technology fun ! I love how much technology is advancing.8" the beauuty worlld technology is the new backstreet boys. Ever since the rise of You Tube beauty guru rise online beauty has been booming. I'll admit I use YouTube about 2 times a day. I am subscribed to countless beauty gurus. It still shocks me how up close and personal it is. I read some of the girls comments and theses people are really attached to them. It's like an online beauty family. Beauty sore websites like ulta ans sephora have made beauty items acessible to the masses. I love it. So many new ideas constantly flowing, just makes me want to go watch a YouTube video....

One thing about me is that i have no patience. Call me spoiled cal me rude but i have always been the type of person who knows what she wants and gets what she wants.

Today in church we were talking about love for one another. If you love someone you will have patience with them and want to help them. Being rude is not love. Treat others the way you want to be treated or the way you want your grandmother to be treated . I'm really trying to work on my patience because i want people to see the love of God in me.

I know this is a beauty blog but beauty comes from the inside out. Inner beauty trumps outer beauty any day.

Rcently i found this site called Valentine Kisses. They basically sell makeup for a low , and i mean LOW price. Brands include Sally Hansen , Smashbox , Milani and more. Unfortunately they are closing the sitE : ( Now while this is rather sad news for them , this is great news for beauty lovers. They are having a crazy clearence sale. Everything must go! PAWS !

I got an OPI polish in Panda-monium Pink. It actually is more pale lavender than pink. I think it’s a great color for spring but you can also carry it over into summer. It was a bit high for polish ( 7 bucks ) but it was well worth the investment .

baby you summer time fine : )

It's finally getting warm in Alabama and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m not too much of a warm weather fan but this year I seem to be having a little change of heart. One thing i can't deny is summer scents. I love warm citrus , lemongrass , fresh fruit , coconut and just anything else of that nature. These scents literally put me in a god mood. Sooooo.... I’ve been hauling a ton of things preparing for summer and I thought I would share with you some of my favs.

First is my Dove body wash in grapefruit and lemongrass. This stuff smells so amazing. I bought a two pack from Target for about 3 bucks (CLEARENCE).As you can see from the pic there is only one. This is because I busted open this baby the day I got it. I love it for early morning showers when I have early classes. It gives me a lil pep and just an overall glow. I literally feel light and fresh.

Next is my Body Shop body butter in Moroccan Rose. Funny story... I actually didn’t too much care for this in the beginning…. at all. I bought it at T.J.Maxx for like 6 bucks. I got it because of the Moroccan oil and you all know how it's like a big beauty deal. When I opened it I wasn’t crazy about the scent but I was like whatever. Let me tell you , I get compliments every time I wear this stuff. At first I was like WHAAA O_o !?! People were like "tell me what that is! now!" Ever since then it has grown on me. The scent is very light and clean. It's not overly flower smelling , just the right touch. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two but I’m still only using them for special occasions when i want to smell extra pretty lol. I think it's safe to declare this hot biscuit Southern Fried Badd !

I also got a mini body butter in grapefruit. I can't gush enough about this. It smells sooo juicy and ripe. It's like I’m sniffing a real grapefruit minus the "dirt" smell. Love love love love LOOOOVE !!!

Last but not least is my King's and Queen's shimmering body lotion in milk and honey. This stuff is the promised land in a bottle. When you open it you can hear the children of Israel singing praises. O how I adore this stuff. I'm not a big honey person but this stuff has me craving all types of sticky sweets. It has such a unique smell and the shimmer is just enough , great for those summer shaven legs : )

We are greedy GREEDY e.l.f 's

I did a little exploring in Target today. They had a big clearance on beauty items and I wanted to go back and see if anything good was left. I didn’t find any clearance items: ( but what I found was even better. E.L.F!!!! If you already know this brand I’m sure you're like whatever but for those who don’t, let mama tell ya. E.l.f is basically a brand that makes pretty decent makeup for really cheap. I find with this brand it's either hit or wayyyy miss but the hits are worth it. This was my first time seeing the actual line carried in my local Target.

LOL EXCUSE MY MOUSE PAD. MY BROTHER AND I USE IT TO WRITE MESSAGES TO EACH OTHER.IT'S A LIL OVER-FRIED

I picked up 6 things. One lipstick broke (miss) but no love lost it was only a dollar. First i picked up a tinted moisturizer in Almond.
Darker tones beware. I'm a MAC NC45 at the darkest and I’m skeptical about the color. The formula is very sheer so I think it will be ok. I got two of the shimmering facial whips in Spotlight and Lilac Petal. They definitely have a lot of shimmer. The smell is ok. It kind of reminds me of bathroom cleaner, but it's not heavy. I got the infamous blush and bronzer duo. I think I’m going to do a separate post on that one. I’ve been looking for a good bronzer to sculpt with so I’ll let you guys know how it goes. Last but not least I go a glitter gloss in Glam Guava. I was hesitant about this one. I haven’t had the best luck with their glosses. I wanted this one to work so bad, even the guy at the register was like this gloss is so pretty. Luckily it's actually really nice. I'm so glad it has a brush applicator. I like to gloss my babies up so a brush really gives me the goods. The texture was nice. It could be a little thinner but for 3 bucks, I’ll work with it.

you givin me lip ?

as you'll soon learn I am in love with all things beauty especially lip gloss and lipstick. I think my lips are my best feature show I’m gonna bring these bad boys out. A few weeks ago i decided to check out the new Covergirl Lip Perfection lipstick. I grabbed some from the main line and a few from the Queen line by Queen Latifah.

After a few weeks of giving them a nice run ,I have mixed feelings. They claim to have some special moisturizers but honestly I didn’t notice. They were a bit metallic for my skin tone but nothing a little gloss can’t help. I really enjoyed the colors from the queen line , and no not just because I’m black. The pigment as so much richer and the colors were unique . My favorite was Kiss , which i picked up on a whim. It's natural yet it just a pop of coral color. It's really nice with gloss. it makes your lips look really full and plump.Sweethart was such a let down. I want soo bad for this color to work but it has too much silver for my tone. I'm trying to find a gloss that will cut the silver but i havent rached that mountian yet. sigh : (.

If you're going to give em a try a definitely suggest picking them up at Wal-Mart for 5 bucks instead of fooling around with Walgreens ( I paid like 8 bucks smh)

I've been a "stan" fan since she was on the show cousin skeeter -----moment of silence for my childhood-------- to me she's a true beauty , just timeless.The simplicity of this picture just gets me everytime.
